The Story

GarageFonts was established in 1993, primarily as a vehicle to distribute some of the first typeface designs created for Raygun magazine. From the beginning, GarageFonts has been on the cutting edge of new typeface design, helping to change a once tiresome selection of typeface designs into a new world of visual excitement.

What started as a small library of trend setting designs has now grown to a varied collection of original, accessible text and display typefaces. GarageFonts has something for everyone.

Custom Designs

GarageFonts specializes in creating custom fonts. We build fonts completely from scratch, or we can modify existing faces. We can also add kerning pairs to all your favorite fonts. You can produce quality typography in a fraction of the time.

Typeface Submissions

If you would like to submit your typeface designs to GarageFonts for possible inclusion in our library for retail sales, here are a few guidelines:

• All typeface designers receive a royalty based on the sales of the typeface.
• All fonts in the GarageFonts library have full character sets, which includes all punctuation and all accented characters.
• They also include all spacing and kerning. The royalty percentage is based on the level of completion. In simple terms, the more complete the font is at final submission, the higher the royalty paid to the designer.
